As the Director for Instructional Design and Curriculum Development, Chyrel Mayfield oversees the work of the Instructional Design team. This includes both higher education and TTU K-12. She has worked at Texas Tech University since May 2010.

Prior to coming to Texas Tech, Mayfield worked for Texas AgriLife Extension, Department of Ecosystem Science and Management, in the area of online learning.

Mayfield enjoys traveling, reading, bicycling, and spending time with her family.
