About the Program

Texas Tech University’s online Family and Consumer Sciences Education Certification Preparation Program offers content courses through the Family and Consumer Sciences Distance Education Alliance. The FCS Alliance is a statewide inter-institutional system that cooperatively develops, offers and provides access to web-based distance education content courses to prepare individuals for certification to teach Family and Consumer Sciences Education in Texas. Students completing post-baccalureate certification will take coursework through the FCSE Program and the FCS Alliance.
