Waco Open House

In June, Texas Tech University at Waco held an open house to discuss graduate level public administration courses that are being developed at the site. Dr. David Hamilton and Assistant City Manager as well as TTU alumnus Jack Harper spoke with students about the career benefits of a Master of Public Administration.

Waco Red Raider Rally

The Texas Tech Waco Red Raider Rally was held on August 2. Texas Tech University Chancellor Duncan was in attendance to speak and help kick off the fall 2016 semester. New students, current students, and alumni all came out and showed their Texas Tech pride.

Fredericksburg Wine and Viticulture Graduation

Texas Tech University at Fredericksburg recently celebrated the graduation of students from the viticulture and wine making certification programs. The programs are designed for wine industry entrepreneurs and prospective vineyard managers seeking to learn the principles of wine production. Congratulations to these Red Raiders!

Texas Tech University at Fredericksburg also held the TTU at Fredericksburg School of Art Student Exhibition. The show displayed paintings, drawings, prints, metal works, and graphic designs created by students during the second summer session.

Teachers from Marble Falls and Fredericksburg were recently a part of the 2016 – 2017 TechTeach cohort. The TechTeach teacher education program from Texas Tech University is a competency-based program designed to prepare teachers seeking to improve the academic achievement of K- 12 students.

Marble Falls Rodeo Parade Winners

Texas Tech University at Highland Lakes got first place in the "Hometown" category at the Marble Falls Rodeo Parade. TTU Highland Lakes sends a huge thanks to the 2014 – 2015 Masked Rider, Mackenzie White, and the Texas Tech Alumni Association Highland Lakes for all of their help.

Collin Social Media Baseball Ticket Giveaway

Texas Tech University at Collin Higher Education Center recently gave away two tickets to a Rangers vs. Red Sox baseball game on social media. Congratulations to the ticket winner Alicia Bell for having her name drawn! Alicia and her friend had a great time at the game and were thankful for the opportunity.

The Texas Tech University College of Arts and Sciences held an open house at Collin College for students interested in politics, international relations, or public policy. Students were able to learn more about Texas Tech Political Science concentrations, as well as all of the other amazing TTU Arts and Sciences departments.

Texas Tech University Center at Junction

Junction STEM Natural Resource Adventure Camp

Junction recently held their STEM Natural Resource Adventure camp. The Hill Country STEM Natural Resource Adventure is a free summer camp designed for students who have completed 6th, 7th, or 8th grade. TTU's Outdoor School staff and natural resource professionals provided students with hands-on, outdoor recreation and learning activities. The camps were held from July 10 – 14 and from July 27 – 31.
