Transforming the Teaching and Learning Environment

by Justin R Louder, EdD, Associate Vice Provost

For the past seven years, Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education has presented Transforming the Teaching & Learning Environment (TTLE), a totally virtual conference. TTU Worldwide eLearning has secured campus-wide access to the conference for all our faculty and staff. WWeL invites you to join the conference Feb 13–24 to hear from faculty colleagues discussing topics like the interactive classroom, efficient online instruction, how wearable technology will affect classrooms, and smartphones and how they can be used in active learning situations.

This conference is not just for faculty teaching online: it is for faculty in the traditional face-to-face classroom that want to utilize interactive or active learning technologies to reach their students; faculty teaching in hybrid or regional site programs will be interested on the sessions dealing with videoconferencing; and all faculty who might be interested in learning about exam security.

There will be six different sessions each day throughout the ten day conference—three each morning and three each afternoon. Each session is offered live and includes interactive elements so virtual attendees can participate in the sessions. Participants will utilize Blackboard Collaborate to join in the sessions. Please note this is not through Texas Tech's Collaborate system. This will be through Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education's Collaborate system. To learn more about the conference please go to TTLE page on the eLearning website.
