State Authorization Update

by Clay Taylor, Unit Manager

I am happy to announce that recently more states joined NC-SARA, the reciprocity agreement that allows Texas Tech to serve distance education students in other states. New Jersey, Connecticut, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania are now all part of NC-SARA. This leaves only California, Massachusetts, and Florida as the remaining states yet to join, but many in the state authorization world believe they will all join soon.

Please check out state authorization page and map for more details. Also remember that Texas Tech is not authorized to conduct internships leading to professional licensure without direct coordination with the licensure board in that state.

If you have any questions regarding activity in another state, especially an internship or practicum in California, Massachusetts, or Florida, please contact me at clay.taylor@ttu.edu and I will be happy to investigate the issue and help in any way I can.
