New 24/7 Blackboard Support for Faculty

by Justin Louder, Associate Vice-Provost

I am excited to announce that Texas Tech University faculty members now have access to 24/7 Blackboard support services. Faculty can call or web chat with support staff to get Blackboard help with their online, hybrid, or web-supported courses at any time of day or night. Our Blackboard support staff is trained to answer basic questions such as adding or modifying content in your Blackboard course, setting up adaptive release criteria, managing dates, building assignments and assessments, using communication tools, and many other basic functions in Blackboard.

This new service adds to TTU's commitment to supporting faculty; however, it doesn't replace what is already provided on campus. Faculty can still call IT Help Central when they have login or technical issues with Blackboard. In addition, the Blackboard support team in eLearning is still available to assist with Blackboard questions Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

For more information on this new service, please see our announcement or go directly to the 24/7 support portal
