Collaborate Ultra is a real-time video conferencing tool. Until recently, Collaborate Ultra could only be used if you had an account, but now a Collaborate Ultra session can be created in Blackboard and a link can be sent to individuals who do not have access to your Blackboard course.

eLearning & Academic Partnerships live streamed a webinar presentation from the Western Cooperative for Educational Telecommunications (WCET), titled “The Cheating Economy and Integrity” on October 16th. If you did not get a chance to attend the webinar, here is your chance to view the presentation and listen to the conversation on the commercialization of academic dishonesty, the growth of cheating cartels, and the ways institutions are neutralizing these threats.

Last month, WCET Frontiers covered a cautionary tale about student notifications and compliance. Leeann Fields from University of Nevada, Las Vegas, joined WCET to tell a story about the consequences for one course which did not include proper notification for extra costs for proctoring services.

Texas Tech University at Hill College will now have a presence at Hill College’s campus in Burleson and will be hiring a new academic advisor to provide guidance to students.
