eLearning & Academic Partnerships Combine Units Under One Roof

By Timothy Howard, Digital Media Coordinator

Texas Tech University eLearning & Academic Partnerships recently underwent an office relocation. eLearning Administration, Academic Partnerships, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, eLearning Marketing, Instructional Design and Curriculum Development, and Online Accessibility are now all housed on the fifth floor of the TTU Plaza Building on the southeast corner of 19th and University. TTU K-12, another unit under eLearning & Academic Partnerships, remains in Drane Hall.

"Over the summer, various units within the eLearning and Academic Partnership division relocated to the TTU Plaza building so that the division could be housed together," said Dr. Justin Louder, associate vice provost for eLearning & Academic Partnerships. "This move will allow for better collaboration between the various offices in the division, allowing them to share resources and work on projects in one location. By moving everyone together, we have also merged the instructional design teams from eLearning and TTU K-12 into one unit, providing additional resources to assist faculty and staff as they develop their online classes."

eLearning will be having an Open House on November 7, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. to coincide with National Distance Learning Week. Dr. Louder invites any faculty that are teaching online courses to come and visit that day or any time. "Please come and tour our new space when you have a chance. Visit with the staff and discuss how we can assist you as you develop your online/distance classes."

With most of our units working together in one space, eLearning & Academic Partnerships aims to continue supporting online and distance students and the faculty and staff who serve them.
