Transfer Credits

If you would like to transfer course credits from another university or community college (including those not listed below), please contact Professor Morris Brown, undergraduate admissions coordinator, to discuss your options. Only core courses with a minimum grade of C or better will be accepted for the pre-professional program. A comprehensive review for acceptance is required. Please note that consultation with Professor Morris Brown is highly recommended to determine which courses can be transferred. All final transfer decisions will be determined by the director of the Texas Tech University architecture program.

Doña Ana Community College students: Texas Tech University has a history of working with DACC and we welcome its students. Transcripts of DACC students will be assessed on an individual basis until an updated Articulation Agreement is reached.

Only courses with a minimum grade of C or better will be accepted for the Pre-Professional Program. A review for acceptance
will be required. The review consists of GPA, portfolio and statement of intent.

You must be within three (3) hours of a completed Associates degree in Pre-Architecture to apply to the College of
Architecture (TTU or El Paso) program 2011-2012 academic year. Any incomplete/coursework in progress at the time of
application submittal must be reviewed by: the Director of the TTU CoA El Paso Program or the Director for TTU CoA External
Programs in Lubbock prior to acceptance.

These 70 hours must be taken. While all credit hours presented on the transfer institution’s transcripts will be evaluated, and
equivalent college-level courses posted to the student’s academic record, a maximum of 65 semester credit hours from two
year colleges may be applied towards degree requirements.

Be aware that equivalent course numbers may change at Dona Ana Community College or Texas Tech University. Please
make sure to check with an adviser with the El Paso or TTU campus prior to taking a core course.
