Four 2009 doctoral recipients in English have accepted tenure-track faculty positions at universities and colleges across the country, and a fifth has secured a prestigious post-doctoral fellowship to allow her to continue her groundbreaking research. Carrie Jerrell will begin this fall as an assistant professor of English at Murray State University in Kentucky. Jordan Cofer has accepted a position as assistant professor of English at Abraham Baldwin College in Georgia. Irenna Chang has just started a position as an assistant professor in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at Tunghai University in Taiwan. Curtis Bauer has accepted a tenure-track position to remain at Texas Tech. Ayanna Jackson will begin her post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Texas, Arlington this fall.
