Best Paper Awards

The distinction between the papers submitted for these two awards is as much methodological as theoretical: papers submitted for the material book award would most likely use approaches identified by Bowers, McGann, Shillingsberg, etc. Papers submitted for the book trade award would most likely use approaches identified by Darnton, Eisenstein, St. Clair, etc.

A small monetary prize is associated with each award.
