The Media Lab is a space to explore ideas related to new media and teaching, research, service, and grant writing. The Media Lab supports students, faculty, and staff in English specifically and in the university generally to think through best practice uses of technology, to learn how to compose media with technology, and to sustain media-rich projects.

Spring 2016 Workshops AnnouncedThe Media Lab is hosting a series of workshops this spring on managing your social media presence, the IRB Cayuse system, designing accessible PDFs, and making your life easier with Microsoft Word.
Spring 2016 Instruction Design Contest AnnouncedThe Media Lab will sponsor another Instruction Design Contest this spring. Deadline for submissions is April 28, 2016.
Fall 2015 Instruction Design Contest Winners!The Media Lab sponsored an Instruction Design Contest for students in English 2311: Technical Writing. Winners were Alex Carpenter, Henry Garza, and Anastasia Schwartz for their instruction set "How to Make Magnetic Slime."
