TCR Doctoral Residency Requirements
The purpose of residence in a doctoral program is to ensure the intellectual immersion of students in a research and learning environment with faculty, peers, and staff.
Online program. This intellectual immersion takes place in online classes, in good communication between and among students and faculty, and in the May doctoral workshop. To meet online residency in TCR, then, a student must a) be continuously enrolled at a level of 4 courses per year (summer, fall, spring, seminar) until finished with coursework, and b) attend every May workshop until graduation.
On-campus program. To meet residency in TCR, a student must complete 24 hours of substantive course work within 24 months.
