Rania Al-Bawwab is a research assistant at the Free Market Institute and a first year Ph.D. student in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources at Texas Tech University.
She earned a M.Sc. in plant production from Jordan University of Science and Technology in Jordan. She has also earned a MBA (2015) and M.A. in economics (2017) from Troy University.
Her research interests include Austrian economics, institutions and development, monetary institutions, and constitutional political economy. Rania's native language is Arabic. She enjoys traveling, hiking, and writing and has published a collection of short stories in Arabic titled The Promise.
