Jorge Romero-Habeych is a research assistant at the Free Market Institute and a second year Ph.D. student in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources at Texas Tech University.
He earned a B.S. (2005) and M.S. (2006) in economics from the University of Central Florida. Prior to joining Texas Tech University, Jorge taught undergraduate economics and served as a financial analyst in the natural gas industry.
His research interests involve applied economics in the areas of land management, water, fisheries, energy and wildlife issues.
