BOOK SELECTION PROCESS

Any individual/college/department has the opportunity to submit a proposal for consideration for the freshman summer reading text choice.  All proposals will be submitted to the Summer Reading Program committee comprised of faculty, staff and students.  The SRP committee will, based on the quality of the proposal and the appropriateness of the book to meet the above stated goals, determine the final book selection and notify all colleges/departments who have submitted proposals.  In the absence of proposals that best meet the program goals, the SRP committee may select an appropriate book of their choice.
