Summary 

This layer contains a detailed boundary of Texas with county subdivisions. This polygon file was designed for small to medium scale thematic mapping and analysis.

Description 

            

              

                

                  

                    The spatial data were obtained from the US Census Bureau and are current as of 2010. The 1:500,000 Texas County Subdivisions boundary was downloaded from the Census TIGER website and the census attributes were deleted. Attributes were further modified to include only county name, state abbreviation, and FIPS and other code information. The coordinate system of this data is WGS 1984.
