Summary 

This layer contains the education regions found in the state of Texas. This boundary file was designed for small to medium scale thematic mapping and analysis.

                    The spatial data were obtained from the Texas Education Agency and are current as of 2007. This layer outlines the geographic region served by each Education Service Center in the state of Texas. Attributes were modified to include only city, region, and website information. The coordinate system of this data is WGS 1984.

Abstract 
                            The downloaded file was transformed from NAD 83 to WGS 84. This layer was generated to support the Texas Education Agency's online School District Locator app.
Purpose 
                            This high resolution polygon vector file outlines the geographic region served by each Education Service Center in the state of Texas. The data, current as of 2007, was downloaded from the Texas Education Agency database and processed further by the TTU CGST.
