This layer contains existing lakes and other bodies of water in Texas. This polygon file was specifically designed for medium to large scale thematic mapping and analysis.



The spatial data were obtained from the United States Census Bureau. The Attributes were modified to include only name, county, and various codes. The coordinate system of this data is WGS 1984.
