Tx_StateParks_STRATMAP

This layer contains state parks and other protected lands administered by the state of Texas. This boundary file was specifically designed for medium to large scale thematic mapping and analysis.

            

              

                

                  

                    The spatial data were obtained from the Texas Natural Resource Information System (TNRIS) and are current as of 1997. State Parks and other protected lands, including historical sites, natural areas, and recreation areas, were extracted from the installations were extracted from the TNRIS StratMap parks layer. Attributes information from the 
                    Texas Department of Wildlife was joined to the StratMap data
