Summary

This layer contains a generalized surface geology profile for the US. This polygon file was designed for medium to small scale thematic mapping.

Description

            

The spatial data were obtained from the United States Geological Survey. The layer originates from the detailed US surface geology dataset. Attributes were modified to include rock type, mapunit symbol, RGB information, description, and geologic information. The coordinate system of this data is WGS 1984.
