Summary

This layer contains major rivers in the US, digitized at a 1:10,000,000 scale. This line file is intended for small scale thematic mapping and analysis.

Description

            

The spatial data were obtained from the Natural Earth (NE) website. The NE US general river layer was clipped to the 1:10,000,000 NE US boundary. The attributes were modified to include river name, type, rivernum, dissolve, and stroke weight. The coordinate system of this data is WGS 1984.
