Summary 

This layer contains points of interest around the world. This polygon file is intended for muli-scale thematic mapping and analysis.

Description 

            

              

                

                  

                    The spatial data were obtained from Natural Earth. The points of interest were primarily derived from Patterson's 
                    Physical Map of the World. 
                    Attributes were modified to include scalerank, type, name, latitude, longitude, region, and subregion. The coordinate system of this data is WGS 1984.
