Week 1:

Memorize the Geologic Time Scale. You will be tested on the Eon's, Era's, Period's, Epoch's as well as the beginning and ending age (to nearest million years) of each of these divisions through the entire Phanerozoic. You do not need to memorize the Stage/Age's nor their numerical ages.

9 Sept.

Here is the handout to the series of cross sections by Proffet. Cut out the cross sections along the faults and restore them to their pre-faulting orientation. Tape the panels to a piece of paper and color your restorations. Turn 'em in on Friday.

18 Sept. Here's a quick Mohr Circle exercise. Turn in Friday in class.
