Dr. Mulligan speciallizes in applied geospatial technologies (geographic information systems, remote sensing, GPS, geospatial database design, digital cartography, terrain visualization and Internet mapping) as well as field research methods and instrumentation in physical geography. He has on-going research projects in arid and semi-arid environments, desert geomorphology, hydrology and climate, and aeolian processes.
