The Department of Geosciences hosts an annual Research Day at the end of every Spring semester. The aim of the day is to showcase current research activities in the Department, provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, and expose under-graduate and graduate students to the experience of presenting their research in a conference-like environment. Faculty and associated researchers also present their ongoing research along side students.
Presentations will be via posters presentedon the second floor of the Science Building commencing at 10:00 am. Refreshments will be served and a judging panel will be responsible for selecting the best posters from under-graduate and graduate students. Prize winners will be announced at midday.
All participants are expected to submit an abstract using the template provided (.doc).
Contributions are REQUIRED for all graduating seniors, and EXPECTED from all other members on the Department, including Graduate Students, Post-Doctoral Fellows, and Faculty.
Abstracts should be submitted to Callum Hetherington no later than Tuesday 1 May 2012. to
