Doctor of Education in Agricultural Education

Program Description

Our Ed.D. degree is a jointly delivered distance doctoral degree program through a partnership of Texas Tech and Texas A&M universities. The program is more commonly referred to as "Doc@Distance" and is designed for those currently employed in organizations/positions that require a doctoral degree for career advancement/promotion into upper administrative positions but do not live near a university. The majority of the students in the program are employed by school systems, Extension, or governmental agencies but have also had those engaged in military service. While a few have gone onto college of university faculty positions, this program is not designed to help applicants achieve that career goal. The joint degree program admits students as a cohort group every two years (odd-numbered years).
