Letters of Recommendation required: 2

Recommendation Letter Instructions: It is recommended that one letter be from someone who knows you in an academic capacity. After submitting a Rawls College Application, you will be emailed an application number. Use this number when filling out the Recommendation Request Form. If you are unable to use the electronic form recommendations may be mailed to: Texas Tech University, 703 Flint Ave., Rawls College of Business, MS 2101, Lubbock, Texas 79409-2101.

Writing Samples Required: Yes

Writing Sample Instructions: Applicant essay: One page addressing one or more of the following topics: Specifically address your short and long-term goals and how you will use your Texas Tech degree to achieve this. Describe a significant leadership experience/achievement that you believe would contribute to Texas Tech University and your classmates. Describe a problem-solving activity in which you were involved as a member of a team and how you contributed to a solution. Describe a major challenge or past failure and how you dealt with it. Optional: Present any additional information that would assist the Admissions Committee in the evaluation of your candidacy.

How To Apply


1) Apply to Graduate School : Fill out the online application at Apply Texas.

2) Pay your application fee: $60 initial application fee, $50 for each subsequent application (including changes of entry date, add/change program, or readmission). Application fees may be paid via ApplyTexas at the time of application submission or by credit card on our website.

3) Contact the Graduate Program Coordinator in your prospective department. Many departments have separate application requirements and deadlines, and the Graduate Program Coordinator will be able to assist you in your application process.

4) Send application requirements, from all of the colleges and universities that you have attended to Texas Tech University Graduate School.
