Program Description

Natural resources management is the application of ecological knowledge to natural resources in a manner that strikes a balance between sustaining those resources and the needs of people. Natural resources are all parts of our environment that we can use to promote human well-being. Natural resources managers focus primarily on renewable natural resources - those resources whose perpetuation depends on human management: Rangeland, Wildlife, Fisheries, Soils, Forests, and Water. The Department of Natural Resources Management at Texas Tech University offers degrees at the B.S., M.S. and Ph.D levels, customized with different emphasis areas based on the students interest and desired career path. For more information about our academic programs in Natural Resources Management, visit our pages on undergraduate degree offerings or graduate degree offerings .
