Major : Theatre Arts

Program Description

Our Master of Arts is a 36-hour degree program focused on introducing our students to advanced study in theatre, preparing them to make informed choices with regard to transitioning into the profession or pursuing further specialized study leading to terminal degrees. The 15-hour core, the heart of the program, asks students to take four prescribed classes, and one in community engagement. For an additional 15-hours, students explore the breadth of theatre by choosing one course from each of our five tracks: Acting/Directing, Arts Administration, Design, History/Theory/ Criticism, and Playwriting.
