Texas Tech University

Holds for Newly Admitted Students

After your acceptance, you may receive an email from us if you are required to send any official documents such as transcripts, diplomas, test scores, etc. Below is information about how to submit the different items.

Transcripts

If your email said:
Final associate transcript
Final bachelor transcript
Final certificate transcript
Final master transcript
Final doctoral transcript
Final college transcript(s)

NOTE: Students who graduate(d) from Texas Tech University or from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center do NOT need to submit official TTU and/or TTUHSC transcripts, as our office has access to confirm completion of TTU and TTUHSC degrees/coursework.

All transcripts uploaded to your application are unofficial, so you will need to submit official transcripts. How you submit those depends on your school's method of sending official transcripts. Our mailing addresses for express mail and regular mail delivery are below.

Physical Mailing Address
(Express Mail Only)

Texas Tech University
Office of Graduate Admissions
Boston Ave at Akron Ave
Administration 328
Lubbock, TX 79409-1030

Postal Mailing Address
(US Postal Service regular airmail)

Texas Tech University
Office of Graduate Admissions
Box 41030
Lubbock, TX 79409-1030

Several US institutions offer electronic delivery of official transcripts. If your institution offers such a service, we encourage you to use it, as electronic transcripts typically arrive much sooner than those sent via regular airmail. For schools which use ANSI/ASC X12-formatted electronic transcripts, you should only have to indicate that you wish to send your transcripts to Texas Tech University. For institutions using a secure electronic transcript delivery service (such as the National Student Clearinghouse, e-Scrip Safe, or Parchment), please make sure that those are sent to graduate.admissions@ttu.edu rather than your prospective department.

Students who graduate from colleges/universities which issue official transcripts in a language other than English must provide an official English translation of that transcript along with the original language records. This translation must be a literal, word-for-word translation. If your school does not provide an English translation, you must submit a translation done by an American Translators Association-certified translator or translation service. We recommend Credential Consultants, and you may visit their TTU translation portal here: http://www.txtech.cc.credentialconnection.com/.
