ETD Submission: DMA and MM Students
Instructions for Submitting DMA or MM Recitals and Recordings
Submit an ETD Signature Form to the Graduate School
Students need to have their advisory committee sign an ETD Signature Form verifying that they give their consent for the student's work to be posted on the online database. This form should be turned in to the Graduate School dissertation supervisor (for DMA students) or thesis coordinator (for MM students).
Pay the fee
Students submitting files to the ETD site will be assessed a "binding fee" for the maintenance of the records on the library database. This fee is posted to the student's Student Business Services account.
Prepare PDF Copies of Programs
The student should have .pdf files of programs before they begin the process. The files should be titled chronologically by date of performance as follows:
- Lastname_firstname_dma_1.pdf OR Lastname_firstname_mm_1.pdf
- Lastname_firstname_dma_2.pdf OR Lastname_firstname_mm_2.pdf
- Lastname_firstname_dma_3.pdf
- Lastname_firstname_dma_4.pdf
Create an ETD account
- Follow the instructions for creating an ETD login.
- When creating an account, fill in the required fields as follows:
- Type of Document: Project
- Title: MM Recitals or DMA Recitals
- Keywords: Composer names
- Abstract: Numbered list of projects and composers
- Availability: Texas Tech Access only (due to copyright issues)
- Upload program PDFs
NOTE: Do not forget to submit CDs of your performances to the Graduate School
