Arts and Humanities Graduate Student Research Conference
The Graduate School is pleased to announce the rankings for our first ever Arts and Humanities Graduate Research Conference. The conference highlighted graduate student research in the Arts and Humanities at Texas Tech. The response to the conference was wonderful and hopefully rewarding for the participants. Please join us in congratulating the participants for presenting and for the evaluation rankings they received.
TTU students submitted over a 130 abstracts for consideration for inclusion in the conference from which 36 were chosen. Twelve panels of three students each were presented before judges on the weekend of October 21st. Three judges per panel rated the presenters and the ratings were used to determine 1st, 2nd and 3rd place rank for each panel. Student are receiving scholarship awards in the amounts of $125, $75 and $50 for first, second and third place respectively. The overall, best of conference winner received the highest, overall score. That student will receive a $200 scholarship.

2011 Conference
The Texas Tech University Graduate School is pleased to announce the first annual Arts and Humanities Graduate Research Conference. A two-day conference of paper presentations by TTU Graduate Students doing scholarship in the Arts and Humanities will be held on October 21st and 22nd. The conference is an opportunity for graduate students to share their scholarship with peers, have their presentations reviewed by a panel of judges, win awards for best of panel and best of conference categories, and have their work published in a TTU Arts and Humanities Graduate Research Conference Proceedings.
Graduate Students doing scholarship in the Arts and Humanities were invited to submit abstracts for papers showcasing their current work. Fields primarily defined as Arts and Humanities include (but are not limited to):

Complementary work in the fields of Human Sciences, Design, Architecture, Anthropology, Sociology, Education, Psychology, Law, or work from other fields that is cross-disciplinary with Liberal Arts were also welcome.
