HESS Personal Fitness & Wellness
Personal Fitness & Wellness Courses are tailored to meet the needs and interests of students in order to promote lifetime fitness and wellness. All students in the College of Arts and Sciences are required to complete two hours of PF&W courses. Students in other colleges may take these courses as electives. ESS majors should not enroll in these courses.

Note: Not all courses are offered each semester.
Any student who, because of a disability, may require some special arrangements in order to meet course requirements should contact the instructor as soon as possible to make necessary accommodations. Students should present appropriate verification from AccessTECH in the office of the Dean of Students. No requirement exists that accommodations be made prior to completion of this approved university process
For a specific physical activity, the completion of the course sequence is allowed if the sequence is taken in the appropriate order from beginning to advanced.
CGA Qualifiers
As part of the TTU intramural golf tournament, the three top teams qualified to play in the Collegiate Golf Alliance National Golf Tournament November 7 in Las Vegas, NV. This is part of the PGA Grant that the PFW program received from Chad Campbell.
Triple Play
This is an event PF&W did with the East Side Boys and Girls Club last week. Approximately 58 HESS and Education Majors worked with 60 students in promoting physical activity with fun games. It was a three day program that was done in conjunction with graduate students from the Rawls Business college. The program was called Triple Play and was written by HESS TA, Justin Bradley. It focused on healthy snacks, nutrition education, and physical activity. The activity ran for three days.
