Diet & Exercise
In the United States and around the world, achieving and maintaining a normal, healthy body weight is a serious health issue and the cause of distress for many people. According to the National Institutes of Health, obesity and overweight levels in American adults are increasing, 30% and 60%, respectively, at an alarming rate. In fact, the rate of obesity has more than doubled since the mid-20th century. Given the current weight trends in the United States, it can be estimated that all American adults will be classified as overweight by the year 2030
