Weight Training

The benefits of weight training have never been so accepted and so frequently recommended by experts as being an important part of your total physical fitness plan as they are now. It is well documented that building muscular strength and endurance through the use of weight training is an integral part of good health and fitness for all ages and sexes. Other benefits include enhanced muscle tone, better flexibility and balance, prevention of muscle and joint injury, minimized risk of osteoporosis, and decreased risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke. It is not surprising that the value of weight training in the promotion of health has been recognized and recommended by the Surgeon General of the United States.
