The Outdoor School
Goes Green
As an outdoor education facility, the Outdoor School strives to teach students how to respect and protect the environment through modeling. Throughout our curriculum we strive to include topics such as sustainability, recycling, and conservation.
A recent program we are embarking upon includes placing recycling bins, which were generously donated by the State of Texas Alliance for Recycling, around our campus to engage others in recycling used items such as paper, plastic, and aluminum cans.
We hope to expand our efforts to include the city of Junction, which currently recycles paper.
