The Traveling Lab
The Traveling Lab is a mobile lab filled with tools and materials equiped to deliver The Outdoor School's lessons to you.
The Outdoor School uses the Traveling Lab to attend pre-visits and post-visits for school districts participating in The Outdoor Academy. The Traveling Lab is equipped to provide outdoor activities anywhere in Texas and attends local and distant fairs and conventions to teach others about the benefits of outdoor learning.
If the independent school district can't come to The Outdoor School, The Traveling Lab can come to the school. The Traveling Lab is driven by Texas Certified Teachers that can provide students with a day filled with hands-on activities on their campus or a local State/National Park. The Traveling Lab is individualized to the classroom teacher and students needs. All instruction is provided by outdoor instructors using hands-on, real world, outdoor experiences. The students become scientists for a day using tools, required skills and techniques to solve scientific problems. The classroom teacher will be provided a list of activities to choose from in order to fulfill the needs of the classroom.
