College for Texans, a program of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, has a wealth of information for students and parents.


The TTU Office of Student Financial Aid has extensive information on General Financial Aid, including information about student loans. Students taking Extended Studies courses should check Distance Education Financial Aid. The College for Texans site (link above) is also excellent at explaining options for paying for college.

Full time and part time students may apply for financial aid.

If you wish to apply for financial aid, you will need to complete the following steps:

• apply to Texas Tech University
• complete the FAFSA form and submit (http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/)
• follow the Financial Aid Checklist (http://www.fina.ttu.edu/forms/Checklist.pdf)


Veteran's Assistance

If you are a veteran and qualify for the GI Bill, please contact the closest Texas Tech University site for the correct forms. The forms will need to be submitted to the VA office on the main campus.
