Welcome to the Llano River Field Station. Visiting undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to utilize the resources of the Llano River Field Station to conduct research projects on-site at the Texas Tech University Center at Junction. Exploration of subjects from animal behavior to field biology is active, hands-on and engaging when pursued in local watershed and riparian habitats using the Station's exceptional facilities.

The 2011-12 Texas Water Symposium series begins with a panel discussion about Texas’ current drought. “Drought: What, Why and When will it end?” is the title of the panel discussion which covers a look at the impact the drought has on agriculture, wildlife, the economy and the environment. The TWS is a joint project of Schreiner University, Texas Tech University, the Hill Country Alliance and Texas Public Radio. The event was held on the Texas Tech University campus at Junction, Texas.
The panel discussion’s audio is now available on the Texas Public Radio Newsmaker Hour.
The Newsmaker Hour features speakers addressing local and national organizations on a variety of topics and current events. The Newsmaker Hour is produced by Texas Public Radio’s Ernie Villarreal.
