The Outdoor School offers two options – a one day program or an overnight experience.
The Outdoor Excursion
The Outdoor Excursion is a one-day program at The Outdoor School. The Outdoor Excursion provides students with a day filled with hands-on activities. The Outdoor Excursion is individualized to the classroom teacher and students needs. All instruction is provided using hands-on, real world, outdoor experiences. The students become scientists for a day using tools, required skills and techniques to solve scientific problems. The classroom teacher will be provided a list of activities to choose from in order to fulfill the needs of the classroom.

The Outdoor Academy
The Outdoor Academy is a key program at The Outdoor School. The Outdoor Academy provides students with a three day, two night hands-on residential experience. Students and classroom teachers stay on campus and outdoor instructors create an individualized week filled with science, math, social studies, reading and writing curriculum. All instruction is provided using hands-on, real world experiences. The students become scientists, gaining curiosity and using ideas of their own to accomplish required tasks.
