Transfer Admissions Qualifications:
Texas Tech University - Off-Campus Sites offer upper division undergraduate courses. Students are expected to complete their academic core curriculum requirements at their regional community college or other institution. Check the catalog for core curriculum requirements.

Any person that wants to take a course from Texas Tech University - Off-Campus Sites for academic credit must have completed the prerequisites for that course. Check the Course Descriptions in the TTU catalog.

Students who have completed 12 or more transferable college credits following high school graduation are considered transfer students. All transfer students must be eligible to return to the institution most recently attended. Admission is based on transferable college credit hours from an accredited institution. Students with more than 24 credit hours must have a 2.25 GPA. Students entering the Bachelors of General Studies degree program need a 2.00 GPA for all transferable college credit hours from an accredited institution.

How to Apply for Undergraduate Programs available at Texas Tech University at Fredericksburg

  • First, speak to a recruiter or advisor at one of the off-campus sites below.
  • Check out www.CollegeForTexans.com (excellent college resource).
  • Fill out the Texas Common Application http://www.applytexas.org  create a profile, select ‘Texas Tech University’ as the university and “Regional Centers and Off-campus sites” as the school.
  • Pay the non-refundable $50 Texas Tech application fee with a credit card.
  • Order official transcripts from all colleges and universities you have attended and have them sent to:

  • Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if you are interested in scholarships or financial aid. The form is located at www.federalstudentaid.ed.gov.  Create a pin number and fill out the form during tax season. Sites may know about local resources.
  • Check out www.CollegeForTexans.com and www.adventuresineducation.org for Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board financial aid information.
  • Application Deadlines:
