About Dr. Kuethe:
Allan Kuethe was elevated in 1990 to the rank of Paul Whitfield Horn Professor, being only the second member of the department to hold that rank. He has been away for two years in Spain, running the Texas Tech campus in Sevilla, but will return to Lubbock in Fall 2003.
Kuethe has published Reform and Insurrection in Bourbon New Granada and Peru in conjunction with John Fisher and Anthony McFarlane of the Universities of Liverpool and Warwick; Estructura Comercial y Poder en La Colonizacion de America, co-authored and edited with Enriqueta Vila of the School of Hispanic American Studies; and Volume III of the UNESCO history of Latin America in conjunction with Alfredo Castillero Calvo of the University of Panama.
