Zeta Iota Officers 2007-2008
Membership Requirements
Undergraduate
Undergraduate applicants must have completed at least 12 semester hours in history (4 courses), have at least a 3.1 GPA in history and a 3.0 overall GPA, and be in the top 35% of their class. Membership is not limited to history majors.
Graduate
Graduate applicants must have completed at least 12 semester hours towards their Master's degree, have a GPA of better than a 3.5, and have completed 30% of the residence requirements for their Master's degree.
Faculty
Any faculty member above the rank of Instructor who teaches history is eligible for membership.
All applications must be accompanied by a one-time application fee of $40 to insure lifetime membership. Members also receive the Phi Alpha Theta academic journal, The Historian.
