Interested in Research?
Spurring the intellectual curiosity of undergraduate students through active participation in the discovery process is one of the goals of the University Honors College. Because meaningful research experiences promote active learning through guided discovery, the University Honors College offers the Undergraduate Research Fellow (URF) Program.
Prospective Fellows must be enrolled and in good standing with the Honors College. Faculty Mentors work with students conducting research and contributing to the advancement of their field of study.
Looking for a Research Opportunity?
Professors who wish to work with an Undergraduate Research Fellow can submit a request to the Reseach Coordinator. Students who are looking for faculty mentors can search for opporutunities here.
Additional Research Opportunities
The Center for Active Learning and Undergraduate Engagement (CALUE) is committed to supporting and increasing undergraduate participation in active learning at Texas Tech University. Active Learning engages the learner directly in a phenomenon studied in the classroom at the University.
As a university-wide center, the Center for the Integration of Science Education and Research provides a mechanism for assuring that the increasing research activity at Texas Tech will positively impact the educational experiences of students in the sciences at Texas Tech
