Intro-to-Research Workshops

Spring 2020

Registration for the 2020 Spring Intro-to-Research workshops is now open.

These workshops are intended as an introduction for those Honors students who would like to learn more about Undergraduate Research or who plan to conduct research through the Undergraduate Research Scholars Program. Workshop participation is recommended but not mandatory to participate in URS.

Topics covered include: What is research? What does a good research experience look like? How does one conduct research responsibly, covering ethics and safety? What opportunities and resources exist on campus for undergraduate researchers? How do undergraduate researchers find mentors, and how do they build and maintain fruitful mentor relationships? Plus a lot more!

You will also have the opportunity to meet faculty who are doing research in many fields and apply to conduct research with them.
