Heather is originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and earned an Associates in Bible and Education from Ozark Christian College and a B.A. in English from Missouri Southern State in 1997. Coming to Tech in 2000, she earned a teaching certification as well as her Masters in Education in 2003. Teaching English and Journalism for several years and coordinating the marketing for University Parking Services on campus, she brings a unique skill set to the Honors College.
Since March 2012, Heather has served as the Director of Admissions for the Honors College. She enjoys working with the incoming students as they consider the benefits of the Honors College. She says, "Their enthusiam is contagious." Promoting the college is easy when the students are stellar and they are just as thrilled about the program as I am, she reported.
She is married to Billy Medley, a Chemist for ChemAqua. They have four children.
