Advisor to Honors Arts and Letters, Pre-Law, and Pre-Med students; Coordinator of Honors Ambassadors and Honors Book Club
Sarah is a Lubbock native who has served since May of 2008 as the Lead Advisor in the Honors College, where she enjoys meeting with Honors students and assisting them to reach their academic potential. She advises all Honors Arts and Letters majors and assists students working toward early admission to medical or law school through the Honors Early Acceptance Programs. She also heads up the Honors Book Club, where students meet to read for enjoyment and discuss readings in an informal setting, as well as the Honors student Ambassadors, a team of dedicated student leaders. Sarah loves working with Honors students and being employed at TTU, with which she has a history of over ten years. She attended Tech as an undergraduate, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Horticulture in 2003.
Sarah enjoys reading, traveling, jewelry design, and spending time with her family. She is married to Nathan Timmons, an alumnus of the Honors College and of the Texas Tech graduate English program, who currently teaches upper-level English at Lubbock High School. They have an adorable son, Adam, destined to be a National Merit Finalist and a Major League Baseball player.
