Summer Employment Opportunities

If so, we want you to apply! University Student Housing is offering various summer positions that may just be right for you! Please see below for more details:

 Qualifications

Guest Assistant (GA)

Student Assistant (SA)

Community Advisor (CA)

1.  Applicants must have lived on a college campus for at least one semester.

2.  Applicants must possess a cumulative and semester grade point average of 2.0 or above prior to and during employment.  New transfer students may substitute 12 transferred hours from an institution of higher education.

3.  Applicants must be in Academic and Judiciary Good Standing with University Student Housing & Hospitality Services.

4.  Applicants must possess leadership abilities, have knowledge or prior experience in general office work, demonstrate a mature and friendly attitude, present a well groomed appearance and possess decision making and problem solving skills.

Community Advisor applicants should have experience in a university group living environment.  Applicants should be capable of handling responsibility and have demonstrated academic ability.  Sensitivity to students' growth and developmental needs in the university and residence halls setting is considered essential. 

 At the time of employment, the minimum required employment criteria will include: 

  • Must hold and maintain a 2.25 semester and 2.50 cumulative grade point average as a full time student enrolled for a minimum of 6 hours undergraduate, 3 hours graduate.
  • Maximum enrolled credit hours per semester are 6 hours undergraduate and 6 hours graduate.

- Free Single Room on campus

- Meal Plan

- Monthly stipend ($250)

-GA's may also have an off campus job as long as it doesn't interfere with the Guest Assistant position.

- Hourly payment for work

 
-The time worked will not exceed 38 hours per week while classes are in session.  Pay periods are two weeks in length.
