Basic cable television service is provided in each residence hall room
at no cost. Subscription to premium services or digital cable radio
may be requested for a monthly fee. Housing and Residence Life also
provides Residence Life Cinema, Channel 14, which airs several feature
movies each month. The channel also runs information about on
campus and residence hall activities to keep residents up to date on
important and fun events.
Residents may also have access to the university's computing networks
and the Internet from their residence hall room using the Ethernet connections.
An Ethernet card, software, and cable are required to obtain access
to the university system. Ethernet kits may be purchased from High Tech
Computer Store located in the Student Union.
Housing and Residence Life employs housekeepers to keep all public
areas cleaned and maintained. Maintenance personnel can help residents
with routine repairs.
Furniture in residence rooms includes single beds, dressers, and
desks in traditional residence halls and private bedrooms in suites and
apartments. Carpenter/Wells apartments also provide seating in the
living area and a small dining table, full size refrigerator, microwave
oven and two-burner cook top in the kitchenette. Murray suites
have seating in the living are plus a full size refrigerator and
microwave oven.
